The Past That Lives in the Present

Great psychotherapy books of all kinds.
A therapy book essential, Alice Miller's Drama of the Gifted Child, "examines the loss of the self that occurs in childhood and the subsequent process by which an adult can retrieve his or her true identity that was misplaced in earlier years." Formerly titled "Prisoners of Childhood," this is Alice Miller's best--and widest read--book.

You'll find a few books in the Therapy Books online store repeated under several categories (depression, anxiety, mindfulness). One book that makes multiple appearances is Radical Acceptance, by Tara Branch. Branch tackles something at the heart of many, if not most, people's suffering: "Believing that something is wrong with us."
